For this piece I used silver sheet metal, saw, saw blades, clamp and a wood block. I made this piece of art to show that we all are a part of God's plan in the universe. Each of use is a piece in the puzzle of life. To me, this piece is a daily reminder of how I am a part of God's plan and that I was put here for a purpose and I need to use my life to make a difference. Not only did it turn out better than I expected, I learned a new way to make art from metal. I like how my design is simple but yet there is a lot of meaning expressed through my piece that will impact me forever.

For this piece, I used 2 x 4's to make a cross. Then, I printed out a ton of photos in black and white that: inspired me, reminded me of my faith, my family, my friends, who I am and nature objects. Each picture in this piece represents something close and important to me or is a reminder of something. The meaning behind my piece is to express my connection to God, my family, my faith and a reminder of how God made everything (nature) and how it reminds me of who I am and what he made me to be. This piece overall, is meant to be a daily reminder to live my life to help others and to make a difference in the world and most importantly, be who God made me to be. I like how the piece came together and how it puts of a sense of relaxation and inspiration. Mostly, I like how the piece itself could have been something plain and simple but because of the materials that I chose to use, it became what I would call a masterpiece. It is inspirational and impacts all who see it.

For this piece I used an old tarp banner on which to pain a huge sunrise. I also used some scrap pieces of wood to create a cross that has two small crosses hanging from the sides. This project represents that even though LoveBug is dead (one of my cats), he still brings brightness, happiness and beauty to my life. The two crosses hanging from the big one also has a representation. Even though it was not fully my intention. The big cross also represents how Christ died for our sins and the two smaller crosses represent the two men who were crucified with him. Overall, this piece is meant to represent that even death can not take away from the love and affection between you and a loved one. I feel that even though it did not turn out as I had originally planned, it still is a reminder of how life passes and everyday is a new day and just as the sun rises, you have the chance to decide whether or not to dwell in the past or to move on. Even though I think that the project itself could have been better, I think that the meaning and representation of the piece itself is what brings my piece together in the end.
