The Joy of nature:
Mary Jaurigue
Colored Pencil Piece Project
Materials: drawing paper, artist colored pencils, blending stick, Boarder frame.
Summary:
For this piece I used sketching paper, artist colored pencils and a blending stick. I made this piece of art to show my connection to nature and how I see God's beauty and his creation in it. Each of us has a part in this world and it is up to us to make that difference and make the world a brighter and a more beautiful place. I like how the piece turned out and I learned how to use colored pencils in a way that everything comes together and blends in how it is supposed to.

The REPRESENTATION of a Rose:
Mary Jaurigue
Watercolor Piece Project
Materials: Watercolor paint, watercolor brush, watercolor paper, watercolor PALETtE and water.
Summary:
For this piece I used watercolor paper, watercolor brushes, watercolor paint, and water. I made this piece to show my connection to a rose and its meaning to me and the connection that I make between it and God. To me, a rose is the representation of Christ's sacrifice to man-kind. The red rose is the blood that he shed for our sins and the thorns (not in my painting) represent the crown of thorns that was placed upon his head. The drops of blood falling from the rose symbolize his bloodshed that washed away my sins and the sins of the world. I love how this piece turned out and I love how it came together and represented my meaning behind it so well. I learned that adding different amounts of water into the watercolor paint changes the intensity of the paint and how it looks when it all comes together at the end.

A Parents Puzzle
Mary Jaurigue
Collage
Materials: Wooden heart, photos, scissors, prime gloss, etc
Summary:
For this piece I used a wooden heart from Walmart, printed put photos, scissors to cut the photos, and prime gloss to paste the photos onto the heart. I made this piece to show the connection between my mom and my dad and how what they like, who they are, and what they stand for have been passed down to their children and into me. To me, this piece more of how the love that they have for each other, and for us stands out as well as teach us how to love one another. We are all a park of this world and went we work together, live together and love on another, the world becomes of one piece. From this piece, I learned that making a gift for someone that you love drives you do work hard, to want to work on the project. I also learned that you can have a lot of fun while making a collage and that when you have a connection to the piece, it makes it a lot more enjoyable when you are done.
